Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care is seeking a Physician Support Specialist to join our team of professionals. We make a difference every day to patients and families coping with end of life illness in creating a center of excellence in hospice care.
The Physician Support Specialist will assume responsibility for supporting the Senior Director, Clinical Operations, with all scheduling and billing duties for physicians. Responsible for performing the duties of the team assistant for the Palliative Care Team. Performs a variety of other clerical duties as required.
*Minimum of a High School diploma required. Additional post-secondary courses in medical billing and medical terminology preferred.
*Physician Coding Certification is desired.
*Two years physician or scheduling experience preferred and minimum of one year previous clerical experience; preferably in a medical setting or equivalent.
*Demonstrates an ability to work closely with a variety of people while effectively using problem-solving skills.
*Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Computer skills to include scheduling, medical billing and patient information software applications.
*Must be self-motivated, service oriented and have excellent communication skills (written and oral).
